Meetings
Through our monthly meetings Bromsgrove Boaters offers a great way to socialise and enjoy the company of friends sharing a common interest in sailing, listening to invited speakers and planning our Sailing Weekends.
Over the years we have invited such luminaries of the sailing world as Chay Blyth, Claire Francis, Lisa Clayton, Tony Bullimore and Tom Cunliffe to talk to us about their experiences. We also invite speakers who are experts in their fields, to talk to us about sailing related subjects such as electronic navigation, charts and much more.
Monthly meetings are typically held every third Wednesday of the month, however please check Boaters Events for details of the next meeting. We meet from 7.30pm with the listed event starting at 8pm at the Bromsgrove Rugby Club, Finstall Road, Bromsgrove B60 3DH. There is a visitors fee for non-members of £5 unless otherwise stated below.

Fishing vessels feature a lot in their investigations but sailing yachts, inflatable craft and even kayaks and stand-up paddle boards also feature alongside cargo ships, and Isle of Wight ferries. Cruising a sailing yacht in the Netherlands provides an unusual range of opportunities for a yacht charterer; motoring along canals, mooring amidst town centre cafes and shops, dropping your mast under bridges (or not, if you choose “The Standing Mast Route”), in addition to sailing on the inland seas. Andy Mulholland is co-author of Cruising Association guides to the Netherlands, and will delight us with tales of great cruising, friendly locals, and fine food and beer.
