Photo Competition 2021 Winners

Club News | December 17th, 2021 | No comments yet

On 8 December we held our annual photo competition.  This year we invited entries that reflected  a member’s boating year, as well as calendar style images, which led to some amusing entries.

Members could submit up to 4 entries, and members entered 38 images in total. Voting was by those in the room identifying their top 3 on an entry list without any ranking.  Alan Gilmour gave a short talk on his experience sailing on Lake Huron while the votes were counted. Thanks to all who submitted photographs and attended on the night.

The honours went to:
First: Alan Gilmour- Through The Round Window
Second: Ralph Evans – Sun Sea & Sail (It doesn’t always rain in Wales)
Third: Stephen Woodhouse – Keep The Boat Flat

Virtual Meeting 20 January 2021 – Quiz Night

Club News, Events | January 2nd, 2021 | No comments yet

Continuing a Bromsgrove Boaters tradition, we start the sailing year with a nautical quiz!

Once again Jane Jones is doing all the hard work assembling new questions, and new answers (obviously), so all you have to do is perform a little less badly than everyone else and you’ll walk off with one of the big prizes!

Except due to Covid, the quiz is virtual and there is no need to walk at all (but we are keeping the prizes).

Zoom link will be sent via the Members Update email.
